Kashmir in the wraps of snow

A cold wave further tightened its grip in Jammu and Kashmir with most places in the state recording sub-zero temperatures. Due to the snowfall, the Kashmir region remained cut off from the rest of the country for the third consecutive day. Kashmir has been cut off from the rest of the country for the second day after heavy snowfall closing the 294km Jammu-Srinagar national highway, the only road link between Kashmir and rest of the country.
